Last night was an event a long in the making. All of the old Out of the West (better known as “the wam”) crew got together. The night was filled with lots of laughs, dance parties, and of course Rebecca’s amazing decor and snacks! With the lack of snow (so much for that  storm!) this party finally got me in the holiday spirit. (And luckily I escaped without having to take a single shot of Malört!)

Lately I can not seem to get enough sleep. Birthday celebrations, holiday preparations, work training has me going nonstop! Right now going out at night is quickly being replaced with curling up in my comfy corner chair that is lit with the warm glow of Christmas lights. Snuggle up with a cup of hot chocolate and a BIG plate of cookies…and hopefully a Lifetime Christmas movie. Happy Holidays indeed! 

I heard this song six years ago as I drove home from a late night shift at Nine West. It was the eve of my birthday and snow was falling. I remember thinking “wow…if my life was a movie, this would TOTALLY be the soundtrack of this moment.” From that day on, every year, on the eve of my birthday, I listen to this song and reflect on the past year. This year, however, I am going to switch things up a bit. I have done so much reflecting over the past year, that tonight I am just looking forward! Bring on 25!

These past few weeks have been a bit nutty! I have been training at Trunk Club from 9-4 daily, and then calling clients, and writing emails for the rest of the night. Basically, I have been living and breathing menswear. I have learned about knits, about denim, custom suiting and everything in between. I have loved learning different and unexpected ways to put pieces together. One of my favorite skill sets that I have gotten to practice while at Trunk Club, is mastering the art of layering. Here are a few photos that I have been inspired by as I work on developing my own style aesthetic…pay attention boys!
